Compliance Coordinator IT

Position Summary

The IT Compliance Coordinator, coordinates the preparation and completion of regulatory and compliance activities. This role ensures that compliance documents satisfy federal, state, local government, and regulatory requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect and track all information needed to complete and submit regulatory reports in a timely manner, assists with internal and external auditor requests for information
  • Update IT’s Standard Operating Procedures on an annual basis or as needed, ensuring compliance and training of departmental staff
  • Maintain all policies and procedures in an organized and thoughtful manner, including the preservation of revised and retired versions of policies and procedures.  Establish a thorough working knowledge of applicable policies and procedures, conduct quarterly assessments to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Responsible for HIPAA related reviews, including the tracking and evaluation of HIPAA requests, as well as gathering, tracking, and evaluating all privacy-related requests
  • Coordinates all administrative tasks with respect to PCI DSS compliance reviews and reporting
  • Develop, monitor, and update systems to track compliance activities
  • Facilitate bi-weekly change management meetings and work with team members to comply with change management procedures
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Prefer Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management
  • Ability to build, maintain, and manage relationships within the organization
  • Prefer knowledge and experience in HIPAA/PCI regulations and compliance
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to identify problem areas proactively

Work Environment / Physical Demands

This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer.  Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment.  May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients.
