Financial Analyst-Internal Audit

This position is to provide internal audit services to the Revenue cycle along with supporting the entire Revenue Cycle team, including Billing and Accounts Receivable.  A willingness to learn new skills and apply them to tasks is important. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement internal audit plans to ensure completeness and accuracy of Revenue.
  • Monitor compliance of internal controls and improve upon those controls as needed.
  • Identify additional areas of risk and develop plans to mitigate those risks.
  • Prepare and analyze weekly billing reports as needed.
  • Create and distribute Invoices as needed.
  • Create and distribute Credit Memos as needed.
  • Capable of understanding how individual transactions from Mail and Specialty pharmacy systems roll into reports.
  • Develop rules that verify reporting is accurate.
  • Perform client-specific data modeling, analysis, and outcome measurement.
  • Develop customized reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Must possess a 4 year degree in accounting or finance, with proven quantitative experience
  • PBM, healthcare, pharmaceutical experience preferred 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High proficiency in Excel required
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced attention to detail, keeping in mind the “big picture”
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data based on results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to listen and understand information and ideas that are presented verbally
  • SQL query experience a plus

Work Environment / Physical Demands

This position is in both a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer and in an external environment where travel is required.  Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment.  May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients.  Minimal travel could be required.
