Summary:

The Quality Control (QC) Analyst for the Revenue cycle team will work closely with the billing process to ensure the highest quality billing and reporting for our customers.  Additionally, this position will implement, monitor, and continuously review internal controls in an ever-changing environment.  Additionally, this position will expand beyond billing and support the entire Revenue Cycle team, including Accounts Receivable and Incentive Payments.  A willingness to learn new skills and apply them to tasks is important. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Understand and master the various billing processes within the organization in order to design and implement internal audit plans to ensure completeness and accuracy of Revenue.
  • Monitor compliance of internal controls and improve upon those controls as needed.
  • Identify additional areas of risk and develop plans to mitigate those risks.
  • Complete various Quality Control checklists each billing cycle and obtain necessary approvals
  • Report, track and resolve internal and external issues or inefficiencies. 
  • Lead by example with a client-centric focus within the Revenue Cycle team and commit to continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and analyze weekly or semi-monthly billing reports as needed.
  • Create and distribute Invoices as needed.
  • Create and distribute Credit Memos as needed.
  • Capable of understanding how individual transactions from Mail and Specialty pharmacy systems roll into reports.
  • Develop rules that verify reporting is accurate. 
  • Perform client-specific data modeling, analysis, and outcome measurement.
  • Develop customized reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Must possess a 4 year degree in accounting or finance, with proven quantitative experience
  • PBM, healthcare, pharmaceutical experience preferred
  • Audit or Quality Control experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High proficiency in Excel required
  • Ability to maintain professional skepticism when analyzing information
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced attention to detail, keeping in mind the “big picture”
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to listen and understand information and ideas that are presented verbally
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • SQL query experience a plus
     

Work Environment / Physical Demands

This position is in a typical office environment, which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer.  Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment.  May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients.  Minimal travel could be required.
